Luke Bryan asks for prayers after being placed on vocal rest
After cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs during the National Championship football game earlier this week, Luke Bryan lost his voice and was placed on vocal rest.
Following the Georgia Bulldogs’ championship win, Bryan and his wife Caroline took to social media to share a video of Bryan eating soup in hopes it would soothe his throat, but he could only voice. ‘a whisper.
Then on Thursday (January 13), Caroline updated fans in an Instagram post, sharing that the “Up” singer has lost his voice.
In true Caroline style, she poked fun at her husband by sharing a photo of her holding duct tape over her mouth, which she captioned, “He’s on vocal rest after his EXCESSIVE screaming at the game of the national championship… I can’t say that I’m too unhappy about that!
Caroline then joked, “I plan on talking non-stop and pissing her off. 😈”
Later that week, Bryan shared a clip to tell fans he just released a sentimental music video for his latest single, “Up.”
“I may have lost my voice but I never lost those memories,” Bryan captioned the clip.
In the video, Bryan said: “What’s up everyone, Luke and I lost my voice at the Georgia Bulldogs game, but either way, I’m so excited to let you guys know that my brand new single…the video of ‘Up’ is premiering on Facebook right now.
The country hitmaker then concluded the clip by asking fans to “pray for my voice.”
The news comes days before Bryan’s Crash My Playa destination event in Mexico.
