Question: Is this the English or Japanese dub? I guess English, but I would like to refer some friends to the Japanese dub if it is available.

It is subtitled and uses premium Japanese Blu-ray masters.

Glad to know it’s in Japanese and with the original music. No one should be subjected to this horrible American montage.

Damn I’m in the US and would like to watch the original with subscribers instead of a censored US dub: /

Impressive! Did Crunchyroll create their own subtitles? Because I know previous official Digimon submarines were … questionable at best. Hopefully this will lead to more Digimon receiving the same treatment!

Not available in Australia, what a shame. Animelab only has the version dubbed ‘Digital Monsters’.

Apparently this is a new translation. I think it’s only a matter of time before it airs in the United States. KiraKira Precure also began broadcasting in Europe before coming to the United States.

If I’m not mistaken, Adventure and 02 only had the old (notoriously bad) Direct2Drive subs for years and years with Tamers getting a newer set of subs but not really for when the JP version was turned on Netflix which was slightly better (I remember they also used the terms JP.)

So ANN uses the original Japanese title for Digimon: Digital Monsters but uses the foreign title for Pocket Monsters? Inconsistency. Therefore, the original name should be used at all times. You would end up slipping.

Australia is a territory of Toei USA, so if we ever take it back here, it will be the same on your side.

For your information, some people prefer the American mount, including me.
But I think both versions should be available for people who prefer one version over another. I tried to watch it captioned, some parts felt dragged and boring. Only the good parts that I think are good in the sub are the digivolving music.

Yes, I happen to like both. There’s something funny about Digimon’s inability to age due to his voice so blatantly from the ’90s.
